Supporting Cyber Resilience in the NT

At One IT Services we’re dedicated to raising the cyber resilience of local organisations, from security audits through to implementing and maintaining the right solutions. Last year we worked with Relationships Australia – Northern Territory (NT) to conduct a cyber security audit and provide recommendations that would strengthen their systems and protect sensitive data. The organisation accessed our services with the help of a Business Growth grant from the Northern Territory Government.

Relationships Australia – NT are a community-based, not-for-profit organisation that supports every member of the community to build stronger, healthier relationships. They provide counselling, mediation, and support services, and have been delivering these in the Territory for over 50 years with offices in Darwin, Alice Springs, and Katherine.

Their CEO, Terri-Ann Maney, planned to order an IT audit when she was appointed to the role. This plan was also driven by recent high-profile data breaches and their real-world impact, and the need to protect the individuals the organisation supports. She reflected, “One member of staff was deeply upset by the Optus breach, which made me realise what effect hacking can have… IT security is particularly important to Relationships Australia – Northern Territory because we deal with many vulnerable people.” Our services played an important role in helping to heighten the NFP’s cyber resilience, and safeguard their clients’ data.
